Ngabubu-ride Ramadan #2: Bringing Lombok Motorcycle Communities Together at Mandalika Circuit

The Mandalika, March 15, 2026 – The area surrounding the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit once again hosted a vibrant activity during the holy month of Ramadan. On Sunday afternoon (March 15, 2026), dozens of motorcyclists from various two-wheel (R2) clubs and communities across Lombok participated in the Ngabuburide Ramadan event, a casual riding program held inside the circuit area while waiting for the time to break the fast.

More than 50 participants from several motorcycle communities joined Ngabuburide Ramadhan in Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Sunday, March 15, 2026.

More than 50 participants from several motorcycle communities joined the event. The Speed Gear community recorded the largest attendance with 35 riders, followed by Lady Bikers Lombok with 20 participants. The event was also attended by representatives from Good Riders and Hospital Motorcycle Club.

A strong sense of camaraderie was felt as the participants entered the circuit area in the afternoon. They were given a rare opportunity to experience riding around an international racing track free of charge. In addition to riding, participants also took the opportunity to take photos, interact, and get to know members from other motorcycle communities.

For many of them, the activity became a memorable experience. Besides enjoying the thrill of riding on a track usually used for international racing events, they were also able to strengthen connections among motorcycle communities across Lombok.

Participants were given a rare opportunity to experience riding around an international racing track. Participants expressed hope that programs such as Ngabuburide would continue to be organized regularly.

Participants acknowledged that gatherings involving multiple motorcycle communities in Lombok are relatively rare, especially events that bring different clubs together in a single kopdar (community meet-up). Because of this, they expressed hope that programs such as Ngabuburide would continue to be organized regularly.

One participant, Dezy from Lady Bikers Lombok in Mataram, said she truly enjoyed the activity. “Today we joined the NgabubuRide held every weekend at Mandalika Circuit with the Lady Bikers Lombok community. It’s a very exciting activity where we can gather and connect with riders from other communities,” she said.

A similar sentiment was shared by Zulkarnain from the Hospital Motorcycle Club. According to him, the event was a new experience that allowed motorcycle communities to directly experience the Mandalika racing circuit.

“This is something new for us. I’m from the Hospital Motorcycle Club. For anyone who wants to ride around the Mandalika Circuit, you can come here directly. MGPA provides motorcycles for rent, or you can also bring your own motorcycle,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Bayu Pangestu from the Good Riders community admitted he was very impressed because it was his first time visiting the Mandalika Circuit.
“This is my first time at Mandalika Circuit. It feels amazing—really cool. I’m grateful to have the chance to ride through this circuit,” Bayu said enthusiastically.

The Good Riders community admitted it was very impressed because this is first time visiting the Mandalika Circuit.

Priandhi Satria, President Director of Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA), the company appointed by InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) to manage the circuit, welcomed the enthusiasm shown by motorcycle communities participating in the Ngabuburide Ramadan event.

According to him, the program is part of MGPA’s effort to open greater access to the circuit for communities and the public so they can experience riding on an international racing track.

“Through activities like Ngabuburide, we want to provide a different experience for motorcycle communities in Lombok. Mandalika Circuit is not only a venue for international and national racing events, but also a place where automotive communities can gather, strengthen friendships, and enjoy the spirit of Ramadan in a positive way,” said Priandhi Satria.

He also expressed hope that similar activities could be held regularly so that more communities would have the opportunity to experience riding on the circuit track.

The Ngabuburide Ramadan event concluded with a communal iftar (breaking of the fast), further strengthening the sense of togetherness among participants. The moment highlighted how the Mandalika Circuit area is not only a world-class motorsport destination, but also a social space where communities and the public can share unique automotive experiences during the month of Ramadan.
